Infant car seats work great as carriers. They have a stay-in-car base allowing quick installation and removal of the car seat from the vehicle. Infant car seats can be purchased individually or as part of a travel system.

Prefer this over SnugRide 35I used SnugRide 35 (max weight 35 lbs) for my first 2 kids and am using the SnugRide 30 (max weight 30 lbs) for my third baby. The SnugRide 30 is lighter and less bulky than the SnugRide 35. I decided to use the SnugRide 30 instead of 35 this time because it was basically impossible for me to carry the baby in the SnugRide 35 by the time baby reached 20 lbs; because the combined weight required some serious arm muscles that I lack.
The SnugRide 30 is easy to use. Same as the SnugRide 35, after you initially install the base to the seat in your car, you just need to drop the carseat in. You'll hear a click if it's properly locked in place. To release the carseat from the base, you pull the red lever on the back of the carseat up when lifting the carseat off the base with the other hand.
The shoulder straps can be loosened as your baby grow, by adjusting it down a notch or two at the back of the carseat. The crotch strap can also be loosened by adjusting the metal clip under the carseat. My baby is currently 7 months at 22 lbs and is still fitting ok in it.
One star is deducted for the fabric used. It is not very soft and a little rough, so your baby, especially a newborn, may find it uncomfortable on her bare skin. I didn't have this problem because my baby was born in the winter, so he was always wearing long sleeve.

Not what I expectedI bought this off Sears 2 years ago thinking I would have a big baby so I wanted the 30 lb rating. My baby grew out of this by the time he was 17 lbs. It seems deeper than other seats I have seen and I found it a bit of a struggle to get him in and out. I wouldn't buy it again.
