Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible product and worse service I bought this stove 3 years ago and loved it but we moved and bought the same stove in March 2014. It was not the same stove. They had obviously changed suppliers because the product that was once sturdy and reliable was now junk. The stainless steel has been replaced with a cheaper material in the gas elements. When we got our stove the front burner wasn't working, it would simmer and had an very uneven flame. The service technician who came to our house recommended we get extended warranty because he had been servicing a lot of these stoves and there was constant trouble with them. The burner broke shortly after repair and never did work properly. Sometimes the stove seems almost confused, instructions entered into the electronic interface needs to be keyed in several times. After many service calls we are returning the stove and trying the Bosch. In addition the GE service provider, Mabe, is probably the worst I have ever used. It took almost 8 calls to get a response after they had serviced the front burner twice. Its a pity that GE cheaped out on this product because it was good once.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from OK but some design flaws rounded edges nice on front but are goop catchers at side by counters (not good for slide-in model); both small burners at back, one should be forward; not enough BTU's except one burner, mid-burner would be better if adaptable

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Remodel I bought this stove a few months ago and haven't found one thing I don't like about it. The stove top is easy to clean which was my main worry. I read many mixed reviews and am happy I chose to purchase the cafe regardless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High end look without the price tag I've had this stove for 2 years now and no complaints. The only part I don't use is the bottom oven because it is akward trying to get a pie plate out from above. The gas technician adjusted the setting for each burner so that the flame does not go out (I read that in someone else's review) - your flame will not die out if it has been setup properly by a gas technician. The self clean works well. I love that I can slide pots along without any breaks in the top grill. Dual Fuel is great for oven temp consistency. Overall you get the high end look without the price tag.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from simmering flame goes out. Just installed the range. All burners start but when knob turned to simmering flame goes out even with the smallest air movement. If knob turned to simmering fast flame goes out right away, but gas is still going.... Called for service... Weird feelings - calling for service right after installation....

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 4 years old and major electronic repairs required Originally I loved this stove. Great look, great function. Four years after purchase the control panel is gone, the main circuit panel is gone. I am close to $1,000 worth of repairs and a lot of down time waiting for parts and service. The quality in the long term is just not acceptable. A stove should last more than 4 years before needing major electronic repairs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't be happier It took me a while to choose which range to go with and I am glad I went with the GE Cafe. Love having the gas top and still have the electric oven, haven't used the bottom baking drawer yet but that's an added bonus as well. Not to mention it looks like a professional range, solid piece of cooking equipment. The knobs do get warm while using the oven but it's something I can live with. I don't regret this purchase at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Professional looking without the price tag.... We have renovated our kitchen and I went to Sears to look at the selection of appliances. A really nice knowledgeable sales associate helped me to pick out this range. I have been using electric for as long as I can remember. I ended up buying the GE Duel Fuel Cafe Stove. Once you use gas you won't want to go back to electric. This stove has a very professional look and feel to it. I LOVE the middle burner that comes with a griddle which is nice for pancakes and grilling vegetables. Also I like that I can bake with the ease of electric. I have read that the knobs get hot when baking. I have not noticed this and have used it to bake quite a bit. So far its been really nice cooking with this range.

I just bought this range and I tried the convection roast setting and only the upper element heats ups. Is that normal? I tried the convection bake setting then the lower element setting heats up...shouldn't both element heat up at the same time?
