Not sureThe description provided by Sears, for this unit, is not entirely accurate. Nowhere does it indicate that this is a high efficiency low water washing machine, and had we known this, we probably would have looked for something else. It has a very deep tub, but you only get about 4" of water in the bottom. We would have preferred a variable water level setting. They say that it's normal for the water to NOT cover the load, it's got to make you skeptical about how well it will clean. But For regular clothes, so far it's doing an ok job -- my husband is an automotive mechanic and his pants get really dirty. They are coming out clean enough. But I was really not impressed with how it cleaned a bulky comforter-type bedspread. The portion of the bedspread that was above the water level did not get washed at all. I discovered also, that you have to add the detergent before the clothes are put in -- if you put it on top of the load it will still be there at the end of the cycle because the water level doesn't cover the load of clothes.
The control panel is much more "electronic" than we would have preferred, but again, this is not indicated in the description and you can't see it in the pictures.
On the plus-side, the washer does operate very quietly. The dryer is like any other dryer we've ever had, except that it has a steam drying feature. Haven't tried that yet.
