2.5 Freespirt foldin Threadmill

I have not had my question answered from 3 weeks ago. I was told I could plug in an I-Pod to this threadmill and on the back there is an input jack but it appears there is nothing in it. Please tell me how to hook this up or if I need some different cables. It also appears to have speakers. I bought this one for my boys for Christmas and we went to the store they tried it out and it was important that they had this hook up. Do i return it or what do i do?
