Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great design-looks amazing in my new kitchen Very attractive range but high maintenance. Black glass cook top needs constant attention. Found out that my front top panel (plastic part under the digital control mode) was defective. Took over 2 mths for part to be replaced The new part was warped. Saw the mechanism of the control panel underneath and realized how complex this stove is to repair. Also the lower bake oven bakes but burns the bottom and the top does not brown. Good as a warming drawer but baking is questionable. Range top cooks well. Upper bake oven very satifactory.I would suggest a better quality control by the manufacturing company. Do your research before purchasing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great stove We chose this slide in model as we weren't able to go with a true built-in unit. It still has the built in look and I like how the controls are on the front and are lockable (a must for young children in our home). Like the previous reviewer, the easy glide racks are one of my favorite things. The convection feature is the one I ues the most and I love it - I've never had such great results with my cooking/baking. I too find that the black cooktop is work to keep clean and it is scratched already with less than a month of use. All in all it is a great stove - pricey, but it has alot of great features. It is pretty easy to use once you learn what the buttons are for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy High Tech - Wave Touch This is a made in Canada beauty! Owned it since Nov 08 Excellent quality, intuitive control panel and an amazing number of functions - low breadproofing temp, perfect turkey setting, dehyrdating cycle, extra bottom oven, etc. Best features are: easy glide oven racks, even convection bake, flat control panel (no knobs), variable-sized cooktop elements. Less than ideal: Black cooktop is more work to keep clean and does show scratches.

Manual?

I bought this range and LOVE IT! I got it as a floor model and the manual was missing. I'm wondering if you know how I can get a manual. I'm not sure what all the functions are for and can't figure out how to use the lock option. Thanks!

Labels not writtten, only icons on the control panel.

I had bought this same model EW30ES6CGS from Sears, but was not happy because the control panel is not showing the labels (words), only the icons for the mode of operation. Can anybody from Sears answer me why the labels are not shown after switching the unit on?
Asked by:
Hello, This slide-in range was designed with icons due to limited space on the control panel. If words had been used, both english and french would have been required which would have created far too busy as area. When selecting an icon you will only see functions relating to the particular icon you have chosen. Thank you for shopping Sears.

Long oven pre-heat time

This oven take 20 minutes to pre-heat to 400 F. Is this normal operation?
Asked by: Shaf
Hello Shaf, This preheat time is normal. For our ranges preheat time is approx. 15-18 min. For the ranges with hidden bake element this time is slightly longer. In some cases customers may notice that preheat time is longer than it should be. In most cases there are no technical issues with the range. The major factor that can affect the preheat time is incoming voltage to the appliance. If under any circumstances it drops the preheat will be longer. Thank you for shopping Sears.
