Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good dual rod for pleated drapes Just replaced my curtain rod of 35 years +. Nice curtain rod for installing two layers of drapes that require draw strings.... one pair of heavier colored drapes and one pair of sheer curtains. They work great for pleated drapes and curtains.

Need 3" Rod Pocket (Valance) Rod over top of 2-layer, 2-way Draw Dbl Trav

Considering 243 817 235 in white for pinch sheer layer under pinch pleats in the new mushroom. Do you have any concerns with I.e. thickness and/or weight on the rods proposed below? Also, please confirm whether or not the products needed for over top of a 243 095 101 rod mentioned above are: - a 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 inch heavy-gauge rod 243 097 216, as well as, - an extension Pack 243 097 217 Also, please confirm: - order number and quantity of pin hooks needed, and - IF REQUIRED, order number for extra slides Thank-you.
Asked by:
Hello, The 2-layer 2-way Draw Double Traverse Rod, offered on this page, is considered a heavy-duty rod so it should be suitable for the draperies you mentioned. The 2 1/2 - 3 1/2'' Heavy-gauge Steel Rod projects to a maximum of 6" so this rod should be suitable for the valance provided you use the extension brackets as well. Thanks for shopping Sears.

Replacement Parts

I need replacement sliders for this rod assembly. I found the individual sliders/eyelets the curtain hangs on but I cannot find the first slider/glide which the draw string is attached to. It is a metal bracket riveted to a plastic slider and this is what the draw string pulls on to open and close the curtains. the metal has broken away from the plastic slider. Where do I find a parts list or do I have to buy the entire assembly again?
Asked by:
Hello, Please be advised that Sears does not sell individual pieces for traverse rods only the entire rod itself. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for choosing Sears.

Left or right draw?

When converted to a one way draw, is there a choice of left or right draw?
Asked by: JNRC
Hello JNRC, Our supplier has provided the following answer to your inquiry: "Although it is possible to re-string a traverse rod to draw to the left or to the right, I would suggest using a one-way draw rod - Sears item #'s 24-96040/41/42 or 24-96020/21/22." Please see the suggested products at the links provided below. 1-Way Left Draw 'Supreme' Traverse Rod Item # 24-96040/41/42 http://www.sears.ca/product/1-way-left-draw-supreme-traverse-rod/624-000037275-PT-961 1-Way Right Draw 'Supreme' Traverse Rod Item # 24-96020/21/22 http://www.sears.ca/product/1-way-right-draw-supreme-traverse-rod/624-000037275-PT-951 Thanks for shopping Sears.

Need ceiling mount parts and instructions

I ordered 2 of these traverse rods for pleated drapes & sheers... we are trying to install them but need to install the ends and centers to the ceiling as there is not enough room for the brackets if installed on the walls. Can you please let me know what parts I need and where I can get instructions -- there weren't any instructions in the rod boxes. Thank you.
Asked by: Aprmarie
Hello Aprmarie, Our supplier, Canadian Drapery Hardware Ltd., has provided the following answer to your inquiry. "It would indeed be suitable with a little modification. The ends of the rod are designed to be screwed directly into the ceiling, but the centre supports included are for wall mounting. The client would need to add our item # PT-105 (how many depends on how long the rod is, etc.) however." To order the part mentioned above, please contact the supplier directly using the following contact information. Questions about tabs

My curtains and sheers both use the pins and I wanted a double traverse that hangs both sets with the tabs/pins? The rods I see only have the front part with the tabs ....... please advise.
Asked by: AZ30
Hello AZ30, Yes, both rods in the 2-layer 2-way Draw Double Traverse Rod have the runners to allow pin hooks to be used. The image shown on the website is of several styles, including some that have a curtain rod behind the traverse. The rod offered on this page is shown in the middle of the photograph. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused. Thanks for shopping Sears.

2-layer 2-way Draw

Are both layers able to be drawn? I need a rod that will allow the sheers to be drawn and/or the drapes. Both sets are pinch pleated using the pins. Is this a suitable product or do I require a different model? Thanks.
