A pain to maintain but kid loves it

I gave this 3 stars because, even though I don't love it, my 6 year old daughter does. It makes her feel safe and secure during the night in her own little space, and it is an attractive looking product. I am terrible at assembling things but, even with lackluster instructions, was still able to put it together. I guess it's fairly easy for those who can quickly figure things out. The problem came however with keeping it on the bed. It is so frustrating! Like a previous poster said, the straps kept slipping off the mattress. It looks so easy in the picture, but it's not. It doesn't stay on the bed that well. You really have to jam the straps right up onto the bed corners and even then they slip sometimes. The four tent poles rest on the bed but have to be adjusted often so that they too don't slip off and the whole thing comes crashing down. I have managed to do this so it stays up, but it was disappointing that it wasn't as easy as I thought it would have been. Also taking it off and on is a pain, you either have to leave it on or off for a long time otherwise it's a hassle. It doesn't fold or anything so it's not portable and compact at all. If you want it off you either have to haul the whole big thing to another room or have to disassemble it altogether. Still...from the child's point of view, it is a fun, pretty, and safe thing and she loves it.

This product is a total waste of money. The straps kept slipping off the mattress, it ripped the first time we closed the velcro flaps, the anchors for the polls ripped out within a week and I had to throw it in the garbage. I would have returned it but I couldn't find my recipt. My daughter was very dissapointed.

Cons:Â cheap falls apart at seams

My oldest daughter absolutely loves this. She feels like she is camping every night!
