This is the worse stove on the market it is noisy and does not heat a small room. Dimplex usually makes a good electric stove but this one does not meet up to their standards. It is too noisy and after replacing the motor it continues to be loud and it takes for ever to heat up a small room

We recommend to all not to buy this stove

Noisy Fireplace

This fireplace is too noisy for a small room, this stove was noisy from day one when we purchased it

Replace the motor and now when the stove runs for an hour it get noisy again

Bad Bad quality

Pros:Â Attractive design

Cons:Â Poor quality, unreliable

Nice sized fireplace, does not make a lot of noise when the heat is on and an added bonus was the remote which wasn't mentioned in the description on-line when I decided to buy it.

Does this fireplace have a fan & remote control? Also, how many temperature settings does it have & what are they controlled by (eg - thermostat or just a few settings)?

It has a fan ( blower) to blow the heat and has a remote. It can be flame only ( for looks) or flame and heat. There are 2 heat settings you can use. You select the high or low setting manually.

Hello,

The DimplexÂ® Traditional Electric Espresso Finish Fireplace does have a fan forced heater, but does not have a remote control. The fan controls are similar to a dimmer switch. Turning it up will cause more air to be pushed through, and thereby create more heat for the room.

The site that I viewed does show it's dimensions > the firebox is 19" and the entire frame is 34W x 10 &4/5 D x 36 and 7/10 H , a good size for a small room , or to warm the foyer of a medium size entry space

1500 watts is the maximum that any electric fireplace can produce with a 110 power outlet. If you want to calculate the amount of power used, it depends on the rate you pay for hydro.
