Support bracket

Q:Â

Which lengths of rod do *not* require a center support bracket? I plan on hanging the 'Danielle' blackout drapes. Does the rod length include the length of the 2 side brackets (ie 6' plus 2 x 2" = 76" total) or is the 6' rod *exactly* 6'?

Hello draperyshopper,

This Decorative Wooden Single Rod does not normally need a centre support, and therefore it is not included. Since you are hanging blackout drapes, these tend to be quite heavy and could cause bowing over time in just about any type of rod.

The rod itself is 6 feet long - the finials are added to that length. The brackets each take up about 1" of space within the rod length.

Please view the attached photograph to see the bracket portion of these pole sets. This shows the raw, unfinished bracket. Sears does not carry any wooden rings that would work with hooks.
