Cuisinart 14 cup coffee maker.

This Cuisinart coffee maker is built to last thru 24/7 operation. My wife and I have it on all the time. Will definatly replace it with the same when the time comes. Our coffee maker must be 4 or 5 years old now. Kicks off now an then a bit early but it owes us nothing. Waiting for a sale and will pick up a new one.

Cuisinart Brew Central 14 cup

I really like this coffee maker, it is simple to use and lets me brew 1 to 4 cups as well as the larger amounts. I especially like the fact that it does not drip when you are pouring and it keeps the coffee at a good temperature for drinking for up to 4 hrs . Also, the 3 year warranty is a very good feature.My sister also has one of these and we agree it is the best coffee maker we have ever had.

Excellent coffee maker for the price. Keeps coffee nice and hot. A bit tricky pouring in the water as the lid seems to be in the way. Great value!

Great Coffee Maker

This coffee maker makes hot coffee, with great flavour. The adjustable heat setting for the warming plate is a nice feature. I purchased this to replace a 15 year old Milita which made excellant coffee. This coffee maker is a good replacement.

We are pleased with our new 14 cup cpffee maker.Easy access to pour water into lots of useful features clocks and timers.Makes a pot of coffee reasonablly fast and warming plate can be adjusted to your own taste.Very good product and we would purchase again

Charcoal Filter

I jut bought this coffee maker and I am unpacking it. I did not realize it had a filter. Do I have to use it? What happens if I don't buy a replacement for it. I know it is supposed to purify the water but what if that does not matter to me. Can I run it without the filter. Thanks,

Hello Janet,

Please see below for the response from our vendor regarding your product inquiry -

"No, the customer does not have to use the filter however, the filter is used to eliminate chlorine, calcium, and bad tastes and odours from tap water. Filters are sold at all Sears store locations as well as other retailers. It is recommended as well for the purpose of reducing calcification build up. The coffeemaker, itself will indicate when it needs to be cleaned. There is an indicator light that illuminates when it requires cleaning. Please see Pg. 9 of the instruction manual for the DCC-2600C (Item # 11 80573) which explains how to decalcify the coffeemaker."

If the carafe is empty does the warming plate still stay on accoding to the auto off timer? If so, the carafe will no doubt break unless you always leave some coffee in it? Not a great feature unless you leave the carafe off the warming plate all the time? No space saving there!

We would recommend turning the coffee maker off if you are using the Auto-Off timer feature when your carafe is emptied.
