Bought this item in espresso for my foyer. I was able to find baskets to put in the cubbies to organize hats and gloves. Assembly was simple enough. I like that it has a back on it so that loose items will not fall in behind. It seems somewhat sturdy to sit on but I wouldn't trust it to hold a lot of weight if you were keeping something on top of it. Looks nice and helps keep things organized by the front door.

I just purchased this bench and I am quite pleased with it. It was easy to put together. It is sturdy. It goes well with my bedroom furniture.

Expected better quality material, made from fiber board. Put part of it together and realized it was very cheap looking, taking it back for refund.

All about organization and esthetics

Really like this cubbie bench and the fact that I can store items neatly is an added bonus. Looks wonderful under a window as a seat (which only required my sewing skills along with a foam cushion and some fabric) and I got a custom look without a huge price tag. My husband especially liked the fact that it was easy to assemble.

Great bench

This sturdy bench is perfect at the foot of our king size bed. I looked for a long time for a bench that was both affordable and well made. My husband liked it even better when it assembled in about 30 minutes.

Each of the 3 storage compartments are 14.25" (36.2 cm) wide by 14" (36 cm) deep. I guess it depends on how big you shoes are! This is a very popular item that is mainly used in entryways/hallways or at the foot of the bed. A lot of customers use them for general storage with baskets or use them to store blankets, shoes etc.
