Problems with Depth Stake on Tiller
We just bought a Craftsman pull behind Tiller and are having problems with the factory setting of the depth stake. The depth stake sits so low into the ground even on the highest setting that the Tiller teeters back and forth perched on the depth stake. tilling a hole one side or the other or plowing a big grove down the center of the tilling path. There just seems to be something wrong, like the wrong size depth stake. If cut off 5" of the depth stake it would work fine, but don't want to do that. So asking for help. Also when I compare pictures with the sears photo of this Tiller the depth stake sits at an angle pointing toward the tines. On ours the depth stake is straight up and down. The instructions don't mention any other adjustment other than moving the depth stake up and down. Are there other adjustments that can be made to make the depth stake sit higher during tilling?
