Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool I bought this recip for the light weight, faster speed, and the shorter 1/2" throw. The short throw is great when cutting into small spaces and results in a lot less kickback should the blade bump anything. Also the higher speed made cutting through occasional nails a breeze. Love the tool-less blade replacement, it's far better than the old allen key & set-screw type (that eventually came loose) and blades are easily switched with heavy gloves on. The trigger at the front is a tad weird, and the unit is negatively balanced with a battery in it. It all makes "one-handed" use a bit of a lark, as it's hard to muster any downward force without holding the back with the other. Shoe doesn't appear to be adjustable ... but does anyone actually do that? All-in-all it works very well and I'd buy another.

Cordless Reciprocating saw

Do it come with the battery?
Asked by: wasisname
This item does not come with a battery or charger. It is part of the Craftsman C3 system which consists of interchangeable batteries which are sold seperately.
