Got it today. Easy to assemble and get going. The quick set up guide is great. A bit heavy on the engine side and there is a vibration on the "D" handle, a bit of foam or padding will solve that. Idles good(when warmed up), and no smoke. Need more time and use to determine reliability.

Pros:Â easy to start, good balance, no oil/fuel mix, easy go right out of the box

Cons:Â vibration

Works very good ,starts easy .It cuts great on weeds and heavy grass.. Idle good on its own and no stalling out. I find it a bit heavy but am getting use to it use it at home and at tne cottage..

4 Stroke trimmer

Easy starting and lots of power, stock trimmer cords are weak though and tend to break easy if trimming along walls or rocks. Recommend heavier ones or a fixed blade type. Nice not having to mix fuel anymore. Good balance of unit for handling.

Excellent Value confused about -ve on US site

I bought this unit yesterday, set it up today after reading the manual, and it started on the first pull. Cord is very easy to pull. I bought the drill starter adapter but I can't see why I would use it because this machine starts so quickly if you follow the instructions.

I have read reviews prior to purchasing this product on the U.S. Sears site that this product needs a dip stick and a strap. To me both of these comments are absolute non sense. The oil level is very easy to see (without a flash light). As for the strap, the balance of this machine is superb. If you do not find the handle comfortable take a couple of minutes to adjust it to your own height and there should be minimal back strain due to weight unless you are very very tall or very very short, in which case go out and buy a strap. Adding a dip stick and back strap will just increase the cost of the product and to be honest, I really would not want to pay more for those rare exceptions who really need it.

Finally, after this machine started on the first pull, I went out and started cutting some pretty heavy tall grass and weeds right up against a solid fence using the "spiral" line that was included in the box. I then tried some line that I had left over from other trimmers. it fit and it worked but only for about 5 minutes. I went back to the spiral line and worked for over an hour and it still has not broken. Do yourself a favor and throw out all of that left over line and only use the spiral line.

This tool is incredible and if you are wondering if a 4 cycle engine is worth the extra weight, go for it, just set it up properly and find the right balance point, the weight problem will go away.

As easy as advertised

Just got it today. Starts as easy as advertised. I had the 2 stroke version before this and this 4 stroke engine runs MUCH smoother. It's significantly heavier than the 2 stroke version but the smoothness of the engine makes up for that. I did also notice it hasn't used as much fuel as the 2 stroke I just replaced. The extra weight is what kept me from giving it 5 stars.

Pros:Â strong engine, good on fuel, starts easy, works with attachments i already had

Cons:Â heavy

Dual Line Hassle Free Head is trimmer line that does not come in a spool or need to be loaded into a spool. They are individual "sticks" that are loaded directly into the head. No winding, tangling or bumping.
