The little red tractor

â¢This is my first Craftsman lawn tractor the and it work and rides well. The leavers and actuators are well located for use. The Briggs & Stratton V-twin OHV engines offer performance and a smooth ride. The seat could use a bit of hip support to stop you from sliding side to side on gentle slopes. The automatic transmission is touchy to the foot but very responsive. The only disappointment was on delivery the tractor did not arrive with its service minder (hour meter) which is needed to carry out maintenance and was listed on the tractor information. After 3-4 phone call and emails the service minder (hour meter) arrived and was installed

Pros:Â Durable, Good quality, Compatible

Cons:Â did not arrrive complet service minder

Hello obmij,

In some case, automatic is another word for transmatic or variable drive. This is where a pulley increases or decreases in diameter to either increase or decrease the belt tension and thus ground speed. You see a lot more belt wear and replacement in this type of system. Hydrostatic drive is a transmission that uses oil pressure to increase ground drive speed. This type of drive eliminates the need to clutch or brake in order to change speeds and is essentially maintenance free.

Hello,

The CRAFTSMAN 21-HP Lawn Tractor comes with two gauge wheels located at the front of the deck. Removing the deck is easy. There are 5 cotter pins to remove. The deck lift arms slide off easily. Removal of deck takes only a couple of minutes. Once the deck is removed, replacing blades is very easy.
