Never buy a CRAFTSMAN!

Purchased this item in May 2011, and it quit running in July - worked for all of 2 months. Craftsman warranty will only pay parts, NO LABOR! It is a compression problem, which is an obvious flaw from the get-go, and they will not pay to have it fixed. NEVER again will I buy a CRAFTSMAN anything!

Garbage warranty.

Cons:Â Poor quality, Not durable, terrible warranty

Convertible brush cutter

Hello Sears,
I recently bought the weedwacker-trimmer model no. C459.51103, item 71825110310 in your catalogue. I want to know if I can add to it the convertible brush cutter, item 71315112510 in your catalogue. I also wonder if I can get a different grass cutting head for the machine, the type that runs with short lengths of line rather than a spool. If this is not possible, can you give me the item number for replacement spools for my weedwacker. Thanks a lot. John

Hello Meech,

The 71315112510 brush cutter attachment will fit onto the 51103 trimmer.

There are a number of trimmer heads available which utilize short lengths of line and are designed to fit multiple brands of trimmers. However, I believe that Sears does not carry such a product. The replacement spool for this item is 753-05045, available as a replacement part through our service division.

Please contact our Home Services Department at 1-800-469-4663 to inquire about a user manual as well as the bump n feed line/spool. Our operators are available to assist you from 07:00 - 22:00 EST; 7 days a week.

My father had given me this model that has never been used. First question..Where can I get a user manual for this model? Secondly, the head attachment is the one with the special single red strand and not the bump n feed line/spool that most trimmers have. Can I get the bump and feed for this model? Regards, John
