Rated 5 out of 5 by from CRAFTSMAN®/MD 12" Sliding Compound Mitre Saw I've owned , Delta, Makita saws in the past which i still have. This one is replacing my 10 inch. It has nice features. Very accurate right out of the box. Well designed saw. I would recommend this saw to anyone. Ive only had it for two weeks, but i have found nothing negative about this saw so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm very impressed with this SAW I just bought this SAW for 50% off. It is well built and is very accurate. I tried other SAWS with comparable features that cost more. Most of the other SAWS I tried out felt flimsy cheap and were returned. This SAW is solid addition to the shop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought this saw and mitre stand June 2010. Both were on sale-----Bonus. Saw and stand look and work great together. Powerful and accurate, a huge improvement over my 10 inch compound saw, I can cut wider material now ,before I had to flip the material and try and aline the cut almost impossible,I"m very happy with my purchases. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best cut for the buck Just purchased this saw for 45% off the list, great deal. Don't know why the other reviewer can't get a smooth cut, mine cut like a hot knife through butter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dust collector issue I just got this saw. When i started using it, one question came to my mind. What's the point of the dust collector bag when no dust goes into it? I've made a number of cuts and did not find any dust in the bag. Maybe it would be better to have shop vac hose adapter instead of the bag. My old Craftsman saw had the collector opening on 45 degree angle to the table and it was actually doing the job. This one, the collector is @ 90 degrees and all the dust shoots towards the back. Other than that, the saw works great. I love the table extensions.

Is this a dual bevel or single bevel?

I know this saw is a dual slide compoud miter, but is this saw a dual bevel or single bevel? I can't see it from the picture...
Asked by: Caduser
The displayed saw is only single bevel as can be determined by the fence. if you look closely you can see that the right side of the fence is at 90 degrees to the blade where as the left side is angled to accommodate the tilting of the saw for the bevel.
