After having used the saw for a while I decided I want to upgrade to a better mitre gauge and add some other accessories such as a feather board.

Much to my surprise no aftermarket accessories fit becuase the track is not the industry standard 3/4" x 3/8" dimension. Of course Sears doesn't sell the acessories so you are completely out of luck. Save your money and buy something with industry standard mitre gauge slots.

Not Suitable for Serious Woodworker

It may be satisfactory for a Saturday morning practitioner, but I have found too many problems to continue using it regularly in my shop. The biggest problem is that there is no way to use a dado blade satisfactorily. The arbor shaft is too short to take a double blade plus even one chipper. You can't use the insert plate or install a home made zero clearance insert while dadoing. Also, the anti-kickback pawls tend to drop into the table slot and then bind the blade raising mechanism if you try to raise or lower the blade with the insert removed. It has now permanently damaged my saw to the point where I have to reach in and pull the blade up by hand while cranking the blade raise wheel. The angle setting mechanism is plastic and the teeth began to strip within a year of buying the saw. It should have been designed with dual hand wheels instead. The laser also worked for only a few months before failing.

very nice table top, but it sit on a plastic base. I seen to many base broken, just pick it up today will return it tomorrow.

Part numbers for parts attaching to shaft to control blade tilt

Q:Â

I have table saw model 137.271350 and cant adjust the tilt of the blade. I am looking on page 25 of the operator's manual to locate the parts that attach to shaft OBAY to help control the tilt of the motor and cant locate them. Would they be OJED OBAU and OBAY? if not, what are they? This is at the opposite end from rotating handle OSWZ
