Very easy installation

I just finished the install...3.5 hrs start to finish. It went smoothly and the opener worked flawlessly without requiring any adjustments...even the door beam was aligned when I plugged it in! Smooth and quiet operation.

I hired someone to install the product, so I cannot comment on the ease of installation, but it is a great quality product and is highly recommended. The belt is super quiet and smooth.

8ft Opener

I saw this unit in the store at Scarborough Town Centre and it said it was for 8ft doors. Can you advise whether this unit is specific to only 8ft doors or if it would work for shorter doors as well.

I bought this model, and although it doesn't state on the web site, it does not work for 7ft garage doors, unless you want to cut the belt, which can be done but why not buy the right one.

I phoned the technical number supplied, but they don't know much about the Canadian models. I had to go to the Sears store to find out I had ordered the wrong one on-line.

They were very helpful and since I hadn't opened it, they took it back, even though it was after the 30 days. I returned it and bought the 3/4 HP model for 7ft garage door opener with battery back-up.

I'm very happy with the new one. Item #092 918 405 10, and it only cost $20 more. You might have to wait for it to be on sale.

My Craftsman garage door suddenly doesn't open up. It went up only an inch off the ground. What can I do and what's the matter? I used the remote and wall control, it resulted the same. I thought it's just batteries but it wasn't.

When this happened to me, I traced back all of my electrical connections and it turned out to me a loose connection in one of the low-voltage wires for the sensors. I fixed this and haven't had a problem since.
