Excellent boots - warm AND dry!

Bought these for my daugther at Christmas. By the time we actually got snow in Ontario, she had outgrown them but never worn them. I called Sears and they exchanged them for me - My daugther loves them and they keep her feet warm and dry on the long walk to school.

Good Boots

These boots are comfortable and warm. I have been wearing them for about a month now. I usually wear size 9 shoes, but the toes were too tight so I ordered a size 10 insead and they fit great. I ordered the grey ones, and they are a little darker than the ones in the picture. They are easy to get on and off.

I dont really have any dislikes, except they are suede and I need to use a suede brush to clean them (which I have not had to do yet)

Here is the temperature comfort rating from the tag that is attached to the boots:

Low activity (sitting or standing) = 0 degrees Celsius
Medium activity (frequent movement) = -15 degrees Celsius
High activity (constant motion) = -24 degrees Celsius

"The insulation of these Cougar boots has been laboratory tested to determine resistance tot heat loss and ability to keep feet warm. The rating factor is affected by the level of activity and the rate of blood circulation in the foot"

The weather has been unseasonably warm for Edmonton, so I have not tried them in our usually 25 degree below zero winter yet.

Overall great boots, I would recommend them.

Really Nice Boots

these boots are very nice. They fit true to size and are very soft and
comfortable. Just the right height too. They slouch just right, not too much like other boots. When I tried them on outside I felt like I was walking on a cloud! There wasn't much ice around when I received them. The sole is very interesting. It feels like a cork sole but is not because it was quite grippy on the patches of ice that I found to try them out. These would look nice worn with anything.

Not waterproof

Purchased these boots for the style & waterproofing that was advertised. They look fantastic but waterproof they are not. One boot is soaked on the inside as I write this while the other one is bone dry. Explain that. I would not purchase these boots again.

The outside is suede, top cuff is knit, sole is rubber-like, and the inside is soft and fleece

The outside of the Cougar 'Vienna' Stylish Waterproof Winter Boots are made of a soft nappa-leather upper with a knit collar and the inside has a polar plush synthetic lining. The shaft height is approximately 12" and the temperature rating for these boots is -24C.
