The cover actually works but is so fragile it has ripped in both seams. I have had other covers alot stronger for cheaper

isn't uv protected.....lasted 2 seasons and then disintigrated with all the little blue circles getting into the pump, wrecking the pump and costing me my entire system. Little blue circles from this piece of plastic garbage keep showing up all over even a year after this disaster. Unfortunately I have been unable to find a replacement product of any kind.

As the other customer asked does this product go up and over the sides to protect the pool from getting leaves in it? I already have one that sits on the water. In the picture it indicates that it goes over the sides, and attaches somehow.

if you want it to go up and over the sides then just get one that is bigger than your pool.. that is what we did and it works great

Hello edde,

We are not sure what is being shown in the photograph but the Contained Airâ¢ Blue Solar Blanket does not go over the edges. It just sits on top of the water against the pool wall. There is nothing to attach, it just floats on top.

does this item fit inside the pool only or does it go over the edges of the pool to prevent any dirt from flying into the water? Does it merely float on the surface? I have this already and it doesn't work well. The 060169702 fits over the edges....how does it stay in place? Is it elastic edged?

It is a solar blanket and it's purpose is to help heat the water a bit and help keep the heat in the pool overnight when the air is cooler - as such the blanket sits directly on the water and does not need to go over the edges. It will keep some debris out, but, depending on how you take it off it often falls back in anyways.
Put it on with the bubbles down so they sit in the water more helping to heat the water when the sun heats the air in the bubbles. It won't warm the water when the sun isn't hitting it but it will help keep the heat in the water overnight when the air temperatures drops significantly.

Why don't you sell pool clips for pool covers in Canada? Sears in the States sell them but will not ship to Canada. I am not impressed I bought my pool and cover through Sears here why not the proper accessories!
