Great Toaster Oven, but...

I did a lot of research prior to purchasing a toaster oven, and the Breville Toaster Oven B0V800XL had very high ratings, except in reading the reviews a common issue seemed to evolve around the display. At the time I though well given all the positive comments it is worth taking a chance. Well after 6 mos one of the numbers on the display ceased to function properly and 1 year later the light in the display no longer functions, you can still work with it, but it is an inconvenience. I would have thought with all the comments around the display that Breville would have fixed this issue prior to my purchase.

Pros:Â Easy to clean, Attractive design

Cons:Â display malfunctions

Great Product, Extremely Satisfied

I've owned the Breville Compact Smart Toaster Oven for about a month and I am extremely satisfied with the purchase. I used to own an old Kenmore which lasted about 8 years. Although this one is more expensive than most, the quality is excellent. The digital display to adjust temperature, time, and number of slices is very convenient. I like that the it gives you the exact time it will take to toast something. The preheat function is also very valuable to me. I would definitely purchase this again. Would've like to have the rack pull out via magnets like it's bigger brother, but it's not a big deal for me. Overall, it bakes and toasts well for my needs.

I love this toaster oven! It looks beautiful and is perfect if your kitchen is stainless steel. The size if great. It's compact on the outside and really does accomodate a 12" pizza. It is difficult to find a pizza pan. It appears there are only 2 available. One is directly from Breville. If you cook the pizza on the rack it falls in the back because the rack is square and the cut out for pizza is round. It's called smart for a reason.....it really does heat to the correct temperature and stays there. It toasts perfectly and I've baked squares in the provided pan which is 10 1/2 " square. The recipe called for a 9 X 13. I can't say enough about this little oven. It was worth every dime.

I've owned many toaster ovens. This one is by far the most awesome oven I've ever used. It's compact and attractive. It's the only toaster oven I've owned that actually makes perfect toast, better than a regular toaster. Everything I've toasted, thawed, baked have turned out perfectly. This oven is bit on the pricey side, but it's worth every penny!

Does the tray pop out?

No the rack does not pop out. I found that with oven mitts you can easily slide the rack out and get whatever you have cooked.

The smaller version of the Breville Toaster Oven does NOT have a pop out tray (I own one). You can also go to breville.com and find the link to owner's manuals for both ovens and check out their full features, operation, recipes, etc.

If the tray is in the middle rack it gets pulled out by a magnet as you open the door. But only on the middle rack setting.

I don't know the model numbers but the compact toaster oven is smaller with slightly different features. If you go to the Breville website, each oven is fully explained.
