Rated 5 out of 5 by from Took awhile to set up, but not too complicated. Takes up a lot of room so be prepared for that. Folds up though. Very user friendly. Didn't take long at all to figure out how to use it and switch from one exercise to another. Great for different levels of fitness, even those who haven't done strength training before. My husband, myself and our teenage daughter all use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Gym Substitute/Alternative I purchased this machine hoping it would deliver a relatively similar experience to going to the gym; well it certainly does deliver and with a little supplemental free weight work and cardio I may never go back. I've only owned the Bowflex for about a month now and use it all the time, I especially love that it has a flat bench built-in as I like having the option rather than just using it in a seated position. Then the well engineered flat bench elevates to become an angled bench, and then it can be completely and easily removed to allow for the sliding row seat to take over. The power rod weight ratio to true weights does seem off, but you just learn to use whatever you need to until failure anyway; it's not a big deal to me if 40 pounds equals 40 pounds on this machine as long as it gives me a workout, and it definitely does that. I thought switching cables for different exercises might be a hassle, but it really only takes the same amount of time I'd be resting between sets anyway. I've only scratched the surface of what this gym can do and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a home gym, or traditional gym alternative.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very convenient and easy to use I was about 2 hours assembling the blaze, but it was certainly worth it. It's very easy and covienient to use. Now m wife is also using it regularly. It's quite addictive. I would recommend this product to everyone, no matter what their fitness level is

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product set was timely but straight forward and comes with a large series of workouts detailing how what muscles each works and how to use the equipment properly. I am able to easily set up for each work out and focus on the exercise and not struggling with equipment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great addition to a home gym Great piece of exercise equipment ! Easy to assemble and actually my husband assembled it by himself. Comes with a basic series of exercises but there are many others that you can do on this machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING. Exceeded expectations I'm a male, 35 years old and in good shape. Family man with 2 kids, and time is important to me. I'd rather work out at home then spend the time going to the gym. I was looking for an all-in-one workout machine that would allow me to workout inside my home in the basement during the winter months (during the summer, I workout in the garage to the P90X workouts). I was hesitant initially to get a machine that used tension bands versus a free weights machine. This was on sale at about half off and it seemed like a good deal. After doing some research and reviewing other countless reviews and comparing to other machines, I decided to go ahead with this. Didn't take too long to setup - about 1.5 hours. Could have taken less time but I had constant distractions with 2 kids in the home. Instructions were easy to follow and not frustrating at all. The machine sat for a few days before I actually started using it. I spent some time putting together a workout schedule based on the workouts you can do on the machine (it comes with a complete guide of exercises and an exercise log - my advice is to photocopy or scan the exercise log so you have limitless copies of it). The workouts I experience are UNBELIEVABLE! Feel amazing! Adjusting the machine to do various exercises isn't too bad. Only takes slightly longer than adding/removing weights on the gym machines. I LOVE this machine and highly recommend buying it! You will not regret it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Home Gym The machine was shipped in an extremely sturdy box, and parts were packed in an orderly fashion. Assembly instructions were complete, concise and straightforward. The company includes an exercise manual, and other suggestions to get started on a workout, if you are new to working out. My husband and I have been attending a local gym for 3 years, and decided to try this Bowflex, at a great price! We are able to perform almost all of the same exercises that we were accustomed to. It does take a few sessions to get the workout routine orderly and smooth, since the machine has to be set up for each exercise, but once this is achieved, it is an excellent gym. My only concern is that 210lbs of resistance will soon not be enough, and we will need additional rods. *Just to advise readers of this review, after assembly, we discovered that one of the pulleys was slightly crushed, causing the cable to bind during use. I had registered with Nautilus, Inc. and subsequently contacted them for warranty part replacement. The telephone customer rep at Nautilus was very efficient, and completed all the necessary details during our phone call. A replacement pulley was shipped, and received as promised. So it appears that the Company stands behind their product.*

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Even better than expected Excellent machine, very well made and after three weeks I have already heard comments on my improvement. Easy to use but I suggest ordering the 3 disc workout set from Bowflex.....makes the workout a 1000 times better. Fast delivery and a great price. All in all an excellent purchase.

Missing Part?!?!

My new Bowflex Blaze came out of the box missing parts! Not only am I short part #s 27 and 28 - Faceplate backs Left and Right, part #6 - Chest Bar with pulleys has the wrong cable on the right side - its completely missing the rod hook....how am I supposed to attach to a power rod cap without it?? What do I do/who do I call? I now own an 800 dollar home gym that's 98% assembled...and completely unusable...

Comparison

How does this machine differ from the bow flex pr3000?
Asked by: Jim7
Hello Jim7, The Bowflex Sport® 'Blaze' Home Gym has the following features that the Bowflex PR3000 does not. - Folds up - Back bench pad can be removed and seat then used for seated rowing machine for aerobic exercise as well - Can lay down to do 2 legs at once for leg and hamstring curls (vs. standing and one leg at a time on the PR3000) - Can take weight up to 410 lbs. - Adjustable bench - flat to incline, therefore more exercises and it targets different muscle groups Thanks for shopping Sears and have a great day !

I just purchased a bowflex blaze. I also purchased a 410lb upgrade. Will it all fit without having the 310 lb upgrade installed first.

Will I need more than 210pounds of weight?

I am interested in purchasing this machine. My current bench press ability is about 120 pounds. I am wondering if the stock 210 pounds will be good off the bat or if I will need an upgrade? I ask because Ive heard that with the way bowflex works, weights may feel somewhat lighter. Thank you
Asked by: OMGRandyJackson
You can add them later, work on the program given with the product and up your repetitions until you feel you truly need more weight. We have not had to add any to date.
