Strap falls off first time usedI am so dissapointed. This is an expensive vacuum and after using it for 30 minutes the strap fell off, on very short carpet. Then again after 3 minutes of use. My husband has to reposition the strap. I am not strong enough to do it. How can I return this horrible machine? Or is there a way to prevent this. For the price, I should not need to be patient!

PowerGlide Premiere Pet Vacuum good/bad qualitiesI have 2 dogs and a cat and thought this would help clean up all the hair constantly in my home. Pro: when using as a floor vacuum on carpets, it works great at picking up all the hair. Con: the attachments are worthless, when using them, there is a lot to be desired. The hose is way too short when trying to use it to vacuum off things, the whole thing will fall over as soon as you start using the hose with an attachment. The brush attachment for the furniture has rubber brush and does not work well at all. It also seems to loose some of its suction power when you use the hose and stick attachments for corners and edges. This is also my first time with a bag less vacuum, and I very much dis- like that. I will never buy another bag less vacuum. Needless to say, I am still searching for that perfect vacuum!

Not badI purchased this product because I have two cats that stay at home, and I needed a good vacuum to help get rid of the hair.
The suction is good, quite powerful but the vacuum itself is a bit hard to use. The hose is very rigid, and I actually have to lift the lift off part of the vacuum very high to reach higher places.
Also, after using this product since June 2014, I just put the lift off part back in it's socket, and now it won't suck from the bottom anymore. I'm stuck with only the hose sucking in air.
Is there something I can do about this?
And finally, I do have to clean up the brushes at the bottom after pretty much every use otherwise it all gets tangled. (mostly because of my long hair that ends up on the floor somehow)
It's not a bad product, but it's not as good as I had expected.

YOU MUST TAKE CARE OF THE PARTSI'm trying to be as honest as I can to rate this vacuum because I also own a new Shark with similar tools. I had the problems some have mentioned (threw the belt on wool carpets). Bissell was good to replace an earlier model 2763 with the 27633 because mine was new.
To the obvious: You must empty the canister often because it pulls so much dirt, hair and fibers. I empty twice on each floor whereas my old electrolux would go for weeks on one bag (not the same cleaning power). Each time I use the vacuum I cut the hair/carpet fibers wrapped around my brushes. This must be done with any brand. The vacuums are just better than any of the old models. Comparison with the shark: Same price/same performance except I had to replace the shark turbo hair brush because the first did not work, and the bissell has a bit more suction power. So you see, this is buyer beware. If you are lazy, don't buy one of these new uprights because they suck everything out of your carpets.

Great so far!I ordered this direct on black Friday and was delivered yesterday. Assembly was pretty straight forward with no tools needed. I wanted to give it a quick try so I thought I would do a small spot to see how it worked. To say it works well is an understatement. I could not believe how much this thing sucks up! I had a D### D#### brand and there is no comparison on how much more dirt this vacuum picks up. After the test I just had to do the whole house, plush and berber carpet and also hardwood. It is a good thing the dirt canister is easy to dump because it was dumped quite a few times. The ability to lift off the canister is also a plus, it makes vacuuming the carpeted stairs much easier.
A couple things which could be improved, All of the tools are not onboard, the cord is somewhat stiff but it should get better with more use and the hose could be longer. Despite these shortcomings I would definitely buy this again.

Excellent vacuum cleaner.I am really enjoying my new Bissell PowerGlide Premiere Pet vacuum cleaner with Lift-Off Technology. I am having an easier time getting at the hard to reach areas. I could not do that with my old vacuum cleaner & I love that this vacuum cleaner is bagless & it's easy to clean & maintain. It was expensive, but worth it. Thanks again.

Top Notch VacuumVery impressed with this powerhouse of a vacuum and deserves the name Powerglide Premier. Lifted everything out of the carpet including the unltra fine particles of cat litter and to my surprise - fleas! The vacuum actually feels like its scrubbing the carpet as it glides across it....yes! no pushing. I don't find it heavy, it turns beautiful and no bag in it. I actually went to purchase vacuum bags for my other vacuum and this vacuum caught my eye. Best purchase I've ever made, I'll give it 10/10 for quality, looks and power. My other vacuum at double the price doesn't compare hands down !!!

My Mom was right-stick with HooverPurchased this vaccuum on the internet-came with a carpet spot cleaner and was advertised to pick up pet hair. Worked well for about 6 months-then the brush stopped running. Belt was fine-brush motor went out. Took it to a repair center-still waiting for parts-it's been 3 weeks. Luckily we hung onto our old HOOVER upright in the meantime. Called the repair center-still no parts. Took it back and found the brush motor online and put it in myself. The brush works now but the stupid belt keeps coming off. Enough of this BISSELL junk, my wife is out buying a HOOVER.
The "LiftOff Technology" allows you to vacuum using the vacuum as an upright for carpets and bare floors PLUS the canister portion of the vacuum "lifts off" to easily use as a canister vacuum with the hose and the crevice tool to easily pick up spilled clean kitty litter from wall edges, floor grooves etc. Using it as an upright also has a BRUSH ON/OFF feature so you may also vacuum up kitty litter with the brush off to prevent scattering. I hope this is of assistance.

Does it have good suction on tiles and hardwood floors?
Asked by: Jennifer111111
BISSELL PowerGlide upright vacuum is a fully featured exceptional vacuum with full suction power as an upright vacuum and full suction power as a LiftOff go anywhere canister tank vacuum.
The advantage of this as an upright vacuum is that it has a brush on / off switch for hard floor surfaces so the full suction power is working for you on tiles and hardwood without scratching and turn brush on to lift carpet pile while vacuuming.
