Not worth it at any cost

Hate the vacuum. It is worse than using any shop vac out there. Turn it on and the dust flies out in clouds. Don't dust before you use this vac. Also, if you have stairs it is very inconvenient to use. I would never buy an upright again for the stair reason alone. Only had it for 1 to 1.5 yrs but it is going to be hitting the garbage. It will be replaced with a central vac system no matter what the cost is.

Pros:Â good suction

Cons:Â filthy to use

WOW! Fantastic cleaning...

Following the demise of our old vacuum, and the one we inherited from my late parents, we chose this model.
We went with Bissell as we are very happy with their carpet cleaner, the Pro-Heat. Having 6 cats we need something to deal with their hair.
I couldn't believe how much dirt and hair was sucked up on the first use - and the carpets had been recently vacuumed too.
The dirt cup is easy to empty, just wish it were a bit larger. However, as the carpets become cleaner, that won't be so much of an issue. The handle is a bit slender and slippery - I would have preferred it be a D shape. Not a big deal though.
Our unit came with two bonus attachments - deluxe hard floor cleaner and the contour pet tool - which can't be bad.
Sears extended 5 year warranty includes annual service so we purchased that.
All in all a great unit, well worth the full price, though we got ours on sale...which paid for the warranty!

Pros:Â Easy to clean, Well constructed, Comfortable, Stylish, great suction, lift-off cylinder, lays almost flat

Cons:Â cup a bit small (minor), handle slippery (minor)

Hi, we just purchased this, and love it. It weighs about 20 lbs, but the big wheels make rolling easy. I suggest you do what I did, and try rolling it around in the store.
I had no issues with corners at all.

The exclusive feature of this vacuum is that the canister portion is removable and weighs about 10 lbs. You have the full suction power of the canister using the hose and accessories to vacuum stairs, high ceiling fans and corners without the full size handle and base to contend with. Depending on your home if it has stairs and your vacuuming needs this vacuum is very versatile and easy to take the canister to vacuum your auto. It's a "grab and go" feature exlcusive to BISSELL LiftOff. To determine if a vacuum is suitable is a personal choice. The factors to consider is what type of vacuum are you currently using? If it is an upright or a canister? If you are used to an upright then this vacuum is typical of weight and use. Always consider the wheel base of a vacuum as large wheels roll easier on carpet. If you have a lot of hard floor surfaces, like tile, linoleum or hardwood the BISSELL vacuum has a BRUSH "OFF" feature for vacuuming hard floors with ease and no scratching. There are 2 additional accessories for purchase: Stair Cleaning Tool part#2036624 for $7.00 and a Shoulder Strap to carry the canister if preferred, part#2035542 for $9.99. Thank you for your interest in the BISSELL LiftOff vacuum. Yes the post motor filter located on the back of the vacuum, filters the air entering the room is a HEPA Media Filter that complies with the IEST-RP-CC001.5 or the EN-1822-1:2009 HEPA standard.
The filter is a Style 8 and is available at SEARS.

The telescopic wand fully extended is 28 1/2 inches/72 cm. that attaches to the end of the deluxe stretch hose and portable canister to vacuum hard to reach areas. The portable canister "lifts off" the vacuum base and goes with you so you have an unlimited reach to clean anywhere.
