a lot of workBefore you start: read all instructions! It takes much longer than 10-12 hours to set up! Have 2 people with 2 drills each! organize yourself as much as possible before you start and make sure its goin on even ground (very important) if you're like us and just start it will take you a long time and the instructions aren't very fool proof so you have to know what you're doing. For this price you'd think the material would be better and pieces would be labeled better. The kids love it so I guess that's all that matters but the slide has 2 cracks in it and we are missing a tunnel piece so now have to call and sort that out, just make sure you get it on SALE!

Sturdy, Kids love itWell after reading a lot of reviews on the Solowave Hillcrest set, I decided to go for it. I knew it would be a lengthy assembly and it was. To be fair I assembled this on my own and if I were to add up the hours I would say 25-30 hours. If you have a second person you can reduce that time. Its easy to put together, most time is spent on finding the right wood pieces (which are all numbered). Instructions are good with diagrams. Its sturdy. My wife and I can go on the swings without issue. I anchored it down with metal anchors in addition to the wood anchors it came with. I did this after reading stories about them blowing over in high winds. I have no concerns about this blowing over, it's solid. I know its probably not necessary but we bought a twenty dollar can of clear wood sealer and paint the entire set with it. I am sure the factory already does this but we wanted to make sure its protected. We will re-seal it every year....f or twenty dollars a can why not? It is Cedar wood and cedar is good against the elements. The tunnel pieces are tricky to put together. Also the slide could be a little steeper. Great set, not disappointing. It goes on sale, not sure if Sears will let me post a price but we bought ours online at Sears Four hundred dollars off. Hope this helps!

Amazing for the kids! This came quicker than expected, all pieces were there except 1 but my husband was able to cut the small piece of wood to the measurements required. It took about 1.5 days of not straight building with him and at times another person. Best advice is to not empty the wood from the boxes they come in as there is a legend in the manual which tells you where to find each piece of wood in each box. This was the most time consuming part - trying to find the pieces of wood for each page. Lay them out in advance and it will go much quicker!
The windows are white but otherwise looks just like the picture online. The white looks better because they pop against the cedar color. This will be great for all the kids who visit and something to do for all ages! We have a little guy so the baby swing is ours, it did not come with this set.
