If ordering the double bed you will require a special mattress as the double comes with queen sized rails, and the double mattress does not fit - there is a 5-6 inch gap.

Full Bed Width

I recently ordered this bed in the full/double size. We set it up, purchased a mattress set and went to put everything together only to notice that a standard full/double mattress is approximately six inches less than the width of the bed. It appears that this is an extra wide bed but it does not state this information in the description. The dimensions are provided but in my opinion, if the description does not indicate that the bed is an abnormal/specialty size, one would assume that the double/full is a standard double/full. I'm left completely disappointed and will have to take the bed apart and return it. Is there any reason why it is not stated that this bed does not use a standard size mattress??? Is there any way of ordering standard width rails?

Measurements and Fit

Hi,
I was just wondering of the measurements listed are the inside measurments or outside measurements? It seems to me like someting is wrong with what is listed on the website... I measured my Queen size mattress and its 58"... on your website it says the queen takes a 66" mattress. Or is this based on the size of the headboard which seems to exceed the width of the mattress.. Please advise asap. Thanks!

The measurements listed on this bed are the bed size, not the mattress size. The queen size bed would take a standard queen size mattress which would be aproximately 59 W x 79Â½â L.

We ordered this for our king bed and I am assuming that the rails will fit around the standard metal frame? In reading the description, it says that there are no foundations included, so I believe this would be the case. Please confirm if possible.
