I bought 2 sets of these stairs thinking they would be great for our yorkshire terrier instead of jumping of couches. Did not even have them 2 weeks and the plastic that holds the lock in place broke off. Can not use if the lock does not stay in place. It is now totally useless.

Pros:Â great stairs

Cons:Â poor quality of material

Doggie steps

I have yet to get my dog to use the steps. My bed is quite high and they do not seem to be deep enough or high enough, and even though he is very energetic he is still very wary of them. I have arthritis in my hands and a bad arm, hence the steps so that I do not have to lift him, I will keep working with him but I do not feel positive at the moment.

Cons:Â Not effective, not high or deep enough for my bed

Nice Idea!

I have an older dog, and he suffers from arthritis. Having these steps allows him to get up and down from our bed with ease. Only wish we bought them a long time ago!

Animal planet - 3-tier Portable Steps

This works perfectly for our little dog. We put a treat on the bed and he ran up the steps, no problem. He can now get up on the bed without disturbing us. It is a such a great convenience. Because it is portable, we will take it with us when we travel

Doggie steps

I bought thie for my friend as her dog was always waking her up in the night time to get into her bed and i thought this would be a great help and alow her to get her much needed rest without being awakened and it worked thanks :Dnow her dog is able to get up the stairs and into the bed without help from my friend !

I too have a high bed, 33" these steps did not come high enough for my chihuahua, and I spent 3 days trying different things to raise it so he wd be comfortable with it (he is very nervous about learning new things). The first one came broken but except for having to haul it back to Sears they replaced it no problem. So I wd say yes they r helpful (weight restriction I think is 40 lbs) so having a big golden retreiver sitting on the bed is a bit misleading! but u will probably have to put something under it to raise it a bit, unless yr dog is ok with the additional jump at the end.

Confused by measurements

Hi there,

Perhaps I'm in a pre-turkey induced haze, but I'm having trouble sorting out the measurements for this item. In the product description it lists 15.16" for the WIDTH of the item, but then when you scroll down and read all of the measurements it says that 15.16" is the HEIGHT and the width is only 5.91". I would be purchasing this item for my arthritic cat, but I don't want to bother if it's too short.
