Great little computer

My main computers are a Macbook Pro, and an HP desktop.
For my annual extended vacation in Mexico, I decided to travel light and bought this little acer instead of a tablet. I set up Gmail to handle all my email addresses and contacts. Set up torrent downloading to keep up with movies and tv shows.
I find this windows 7 starter to work perfectly, despite all the negative reviews of it being crippled.
Internet responds very quickly, Open Office opens slowly, but then works fine. Some programs also open slowly, but then run fine. VLC plays movies perfectly.
Internal speaker volume is low, so presetting VLC to 200% helps. Headphones are also an excellent asset, and provide plenty of volume.
The 3 cell battery is OK, but 6 cell would be great.
I replaced the 1 gig ram with a 2 gig stick. Cheap easy and helps a bit.
Only one video conversion program so far refused to load due to this only having 600 vertical resolution. Otherwise it's been fine.
I find this so much better than a tablet when used as a main computer. Bigger hard drive, real keyboard, no cover needed.
So far I've been using it full time as my only computer on vacation for one full month, and I really haven't missed my other systems from home.
This is the cheapest netbook out there, and I am VERY satisfied with it, so far.
