colour didn't match online colour

Sorry, but I am disappointed with the colour of the blinds I ordered. The colour I saw online had more of a blue tinge to it. When I pulled it out of the box, it is definitely silver...like the blinds you see in an office.

I would like to return them, but they were cut to order.

I do, however, love the mini blinds I ordered.

Pros:Â Easy to clean, Well constructed

Cons:Â colur didn't match expections

The blinds look nice, they were easy to install. Shipping was quick, the price was right. I ordered 14 blinds and the size was good, but there was NO valance in 2 of them, and I was not aware that I would have to cut the valance to fit. That could be interesting!

Pros:Â Well constructed, Stylish

received the mini blinds on time, they are of excellent quality and fit beautifully. For the price of the blinds.. they are excellent value on the dollar.

very lightweight, & thin slats, will damage easily, but very good for the price. good colour selection. the installation instructions weren't very good, but once you do one, the rest are very easy to install. the plastic clips for the valance are a bit tricky, broke two of them, not sure where to get replacements. great option for a low cost window treatment that looks good, just don't bump into them, because the slats will dent. :)

cut to fit aluminum blinds

The instructions were useless - very unclear. I had to figure it out on my own. The valance was also a difficult installation and I will probably remove it. The wand did not slip on easily. All in all the installation took me about 5 hours - as I would give up in frustration and think about how it could be done. Having said that the blinds seem to be OK and they fit the inside of the window (even though the metal attachment pieces would not lock because of the space restriction). I may still call in our local window treatment company.

I have a double door in my open concept livingroom/kitchen/diningroom which has 21"x63" glass inserts, one in each door. Would love to put mini blinds here but was wondering how I could secure them to the door where it is a metal door. Is there a type of mini blind I could buy with this feature. Await your reply.

I have the same issue. I have found aluminum mini blinds that have a very strong magnet on the head rail. Unfortunately, they're only available in the States. I haven't been able to find a single supplier here in Canada :(

Hello Cherub,

The valance will always be a little wider than the actual blind because it has to cover the mechanism and there are end caps that fit in the end that add some width.

How do I measure and order these? My window is 40.5" from the inside to the inside of the window. Do I then order 40.5 or 40 3/8th just a smidge smaller so it fits? Will a 40.5" fit or will it be to tight?
