These roller shades have to be the best thing since sliced bread. If you need a dark room or just want to keep the sun out these blinds are for you. Very simple to install a good choice of colours and they're easy to keep clean.

The PVC privacy design helps reduce amount of light filtering through.
Will fit windows with 66" length and can be cut narrower to minimum 16 1/4" width and all colours show white to the outside.

Excellent quality and a great buy for the price.

AVOID THESE BLINDS
I ordered several of these. They are not worth the savings and plan to return.

1. They are not at all as described. 'Suede' is truly just a nick name. It basically has the texture and look of a plastic tarp.

2. The measuring instructions and videos tell you to measure the full size of the window and that adjustments will be made to account for the mounting. Of the 5 blinds I bought, only 1 fits. Why? Because the 4 others do NOT have a spring tipped pin so there's no way to get it into the window. The mounts are offset by about 1/2 inch on each end. All the instructions state that the pin is springy and 1 of them has it and 4 do not. 1 was frankly completely too long for the window. It was cut improperly. I am an engineer and so believe you me, I measured several times.

4. The no return policy on custom blinds means even if they don't fit, it's too bad.

5. The edges roll inward when hanging, so they're not very pretty hanging there.

6. Oh the worst is that the colour is only on ONE SIDE. That means that when your coloured blind is down, there is a WHITE roll at the top. It is very unsightly.

7. The colours are not as described and the swatches are not accurate. The 'Honey Brown' is the colour of very very dark brown. The lighter Blue is as dark as I thought the darker blue would be.

8. There is more than 1 inch of light on each side and we have an inner window frame so that means on say a steel frame window you'd likely see like 2 inches of light.

Comments about 'Suede Duplex II' Cut-to-fit Plain Hem Room-darkening Roller Shade:

This was a replacement for the same blinds purchased 10 years ago. They have lasted. No issues with roller mechanism.Opaque but they do degrade from sunlight eventually pinhole and splitting. There is some curl at the sideward edges when extended, I use side curtains to stop the bleed. My 3 picture front windows are 60"square so your performance will vary.I face east , blinds block direct morning sunlight, then roll away inconspicuously the rest of the day.Cost effective solution.

Comments about 'Suede Duplex II' Cut-to-fit Plain Hem Room-darkening Roller Shade:

Cheaply made if you mount them inside the frame cut to fit they let light in on both sides. If you order them wider and mount them on the frame they are out an inch or more from the frame and still let light in. Very disappointed.

Room darkening blind

Comments about 'Suede Duplex II' Cut-to-fit Plain Hem Room-darkening Roller Shade:

This shade was easy to mount outside the window frame. It certainly darkens the room. The only minor issue is that the edges curl inward slightly. Perhaps with time the edges will straighten. This isn't an problem for me as I ordered a shade that is quite wide, but it could allow light in if the shade just fits over the window frame.

Comments about 'Suede Duplex II' Cut-to-fit Plain Hem Room-darkening Roller Shade:

I purchased this for my son's room in order to block out light. It works very well; however, the instructions for ordering are quite confusing. We ended up with gaps at each end that are allowing some light in so will order one a bit larger next time. Other than that we are completely satisfied with the purchase.

You get what you pay for. These blinds are inexpensive and it shows. The sides curl inward. I bought them for the bedrooms so it's not a big issue for me although I will now have to get some drapes now to cover the blind.

Blind is great for the price. It is nothing fancy, so use under
Drapes or a valance. Pulls down smoothly. Measurements tricky.
Our window width measures 63". We found that the 64.25" fit onto our existing brackets ( replacing an old blind). Recommend reading measuring instructions in the catalogue twice.

              A:

              Hello Karen A,

Please be advised that you need to decide first if it will be an inside mount blinds or outside mount wood blinds. To measure for inside mount blinds:

To find width: Measure exact distance to the nearest 1/8" between inside surfaces of window frame at the top, middle, and bottom, and use the narrowest width. Do not make any width deductions. Factory will make the appropriate deductions.

To measure for outside mount wood blinds:
To find width: Measure exact distance to the nearest 1/8" between the outermost points where the blind is to be placed. For optimum light control, this measurement should extend 3/4" beyond the window opening on each side (or 1 1/2" for the entire width).

Below is the link that will help you decide your width:
