I loved the look, fit and feel and the fact that they were aquaskin. BUT, as soon as I touched the boot it was sticky. And the boot left a sticky and oily residue all over my hands (this was just from taking one boot out of the box!). It was almost like shoe polish. I wondered if I got a "dud" pair that someone had decided to polish up, ruined and returned, so I tried another pair. It was the same thing. What a disappointment. I can't wear these boots, I'll ruin my pants and everything that I come in contact with. :(
These boots looked nothing at all like pictured on the website. First off, they look very structured (like proper riding boots) in the pictures but they are actually soft and very slouchy around the ankles. Secondly, the toe is clunkier and not as modern-looking as on the website. Lastly, the sole on the website looks higher-quality, but in reality it's just straight-up rubber (to be fair, that's probably better for cold and slippery conditions, but the pictures are still misleading).
I would have given these 1 star but they had a few redeeming qualities - they seemed comfortable, and I would have loved their waterproof/salt-resistant features if I had kept them long enough to wear outside (I returned them).
Also keep in mind that they are quite tight around the calves. I have small-to-medium sized calves and they fit very snugly.
Bought these boots in black recently. Now that I am wearing them I am very pleased with how comfortable they are. The material is flexible and moves well when I am walking. I wear knee socks over my leggings as the top of the boots tend to put small pulls in the leggings.
