Comments about Finesse Wood Single Drapery Rod and Bracket Set:

Was disappointed that local stores no longer carried the wooden rods and then luckily I found this on Sears. These are the perfect length (8') for our sliding doors and everyone says the wood rods look great. We chose the Oak shade and it matches everything in our room and gives it a warmer look than metal rods would. Grommet curtains sometimes look a little harsh but with the wood they look warm and inviting. Oh, and a center piece is included with the 8' rod for extra support. This wasn't clear in the description.

Will these rods fit the panels I have ordered?: I have already ordered Softlines Home Fashions 'Prescott' Faux-Linen Blackout Back-Tab Panels, but have not ordered any rods yet. I am wondering if the Finesse Wood Single Drapery Rod and Bracket Set will fit through the back tabs of those particular panels.

              Hello Neety,

Yes, the pole can be cut fairly easily. Once cut, a new hole should be drilled to allow the finials to be attached without splitting the wood.

              Thanks for shopping Sears.

8' has one middle support as well as 2 end ones. Sears really needs to describe thing better! We were hesitant to try these because from the descriptions it sounded like there would be no center support.

              Hello Ladyluck,

This Decorative Wooden Single Rod does not normally need a centre support, and therefore it is not included. Extra brackets are not sold separately.

              Thank you for choosing Sears.

          • Q:

Support bracket: Which lengths of rod do *not* require a center support bracket? I plan on hanging the 'Danielle' blackout drapes. Does the rod length include the length of the 2 side brackets (ie 6' plus 2 x 2" = 76" total) or is the 6' rod *exactly* 6'?

              A:

              Hello draperyshopper,

This Decorative Wooden Single Rod does not normally need a centre support, and therefore it is not included. Since you are hanging blackout drapes, these tend to be quite heavy and could cause bowing over time in just about any type of rod.

The rod itself is 6 feet long - the finials are added to that length. The brackets each take up about 1" of space within the rod length.

              Thanks for shopping Sears.
