Poor quality

Comments about Umbra® ""Diverge"" Double Curtain Rod:

I bought this and had to return it. The rods are so flimsy that the curtains were drooping in the middle. I have a very old house so the the middle piece of hardware doesn't fit on the trim to keep the middle up. Even with that though, I don't feel like my curtains would be very well supported. Not worth the price for the quality.

Ideal for bedrooms

Comments about Umbra® ""Diverge"" Double Curtain Rod:

Great if you can put a support in the middle of the window. Ours go to the roof and since our window is 64" wide, it's sagging a bit.

Looks fine

Comments about Umbra® ""Diverge"" Double Curtain Rod:

Look fine, a little flimsier that expected. I wanted to keep both rods closer to the wall and these deliver. Keep in mind that if you use gromet plannes these are just barely big enough for one, you need a rod pocket for the sheer. But it works as I wanted.

Comments about Umbra® ""Diverge"" Double Curtain Rod:

This curtain rod looks very nice in the guest room we installed it in. No concerns, easy to install and allows one to have curtains and a valance (in my case). Good value.

Comments about Umbra® ""Diverge"" Double Curtain Rod:

This is an attractive rod set however you can't simply unhook it from its central brace to maneuver window coverings because it is not an open bracket.

I am about to purchase curtain rods. Do the following types of rods contain the middle brackets to support both rods? The Umbra "Bellair" and "Diverge" double rod sets.

            • Q:

Where can I find them: Hello I was wondering if I can buy double curtain rods in Sears stores or if they are only available through catalogue. Also does this one fit a patio door of 85 inches wide and does it need a middle piece to stay straight (which I do not want).
              Thanks
              Marie

                Hello,

To obtain information regarding stock in a retail store, please contact your closest Sears store for resolution as we do not have access to that information.

This rod is available in a 44-88" length range so it should fit your patio door. There is no middle piece.

            • Q:

Mounting the rod: Does this rod need to be screwed into the frame, as pictured? I was hoping to mount it on the wall a few inches outside and above the frame, but there will only be drywall there ( no studs). Can I do this?

                Hello LEELEE6,

We would not recommend installation of this curtain rod into dry wall only.

                Hello,

The front 5/8'' rod projects 3 1/2" from the wall and the back 1/2'' rod projects 1'' from the wall so some light may come in at the top.

                Thanks for shopping Sears.
