Router usage & tips

1. For best results and handling, router bits over 11/4" in diameter are recommended for use with a router mounted in a router table.

2. Use multiple passes (1/16 to 1/8" per pass) when making cuts with any bits.

3. Recommended cutting sequence:
a) cut end grain first
b) cut with grain to control chip out of wood.

4. Move router (or workpiece if using a router table) against the direction of bit rotation to reduce grabbing and running.

5. Control burning of the edges by:
a) slowing the rpm of router
b) increasing feed along the wood edge
c) taking lighter depth of cuts.
