Customer Service - Pricing & Ordering

Our website pricing

All prices quoted are in Canadian dollars and do not include any applicable fees, charges or taxes including but not limited to, sales taxes, installation charges (labour or materials), home delivery charges, or fees for optional financing programs. Shipping charges may also apply to certain Sears Catalogue pick-up locations. A non-refundable handling charge will be applied to all orders . COD available for telephone orders only, and not available to all shipping locations. You will be advised of all applicable charges before we ship your order.

Unless otherwise stated, all price comparisons refer to Sears catalogue or website prices offered nationally in Canada. For many savings offers, Sears regular price will take effect after the sale. Dates and/or times for sales and promotions will be determined according to Eastern Time (EST/EDT). "Our current website price" is the selling price on sears.ca and may vary from Sears printed catalogue prices and Sears retail store prices. You must 'Add To Basket' directly from the website item page in order receive the website price.

Unless otherwise stated, "Our Lowest Price this Season", "No Lower Price This Year" and similar statements refer only to Sears catalogue and website prices, during the time period stated. When we say "lowest price of the season" that means that we have not offered, and will not offer, a lower price for that season. Generally, "This Season" refers to the Sears selling season for the product. "This Year" refers to the calendar year(s) in which the advertisement is in effect. These statements do not include clearance prices, store closing/moving sales or Outlet/Liquidation store prices.

Some items which are sold by Sears in our retail stores but not in our printed catalogues, may be offered to you on this website at the current Sears retail store price. In these cases, the comparison "Sears retail regular price" refers to the regular prices offered in Sears retail stores nationally in Canada. Not all retail store items are available in all store locations; to inquire by phone, check your local phone directory or click here to find the location and phone number of a store near you.

As a convenience, you may place orders from Sears printed catalogues using this website. From the sears.ca home page, click on 'Order From A Catalogue'. If you order after a catalogue has expired and merchandise is still available, you will be advised of the current price for that item. This price may be higher than the price printed in the expired catalogue. IMPORTANT: Some items may be offered at lower prices on this website, but you must 'Add To Basket' directly from the website item page in order to receive the website price.

Website offers, prices and merchandise availability are subject to change without notice. We endeavour to display to you only those items which are currently available to order, and item status is refreshed frequently. However, it is possible that some items, sizes and/or colours will be out of stock at the time you order. When your order is processed, you will receive an order confirmation verifying receipt of your order and confirming the availability and selling prices of all items in your order.

Our real-time inventory system sometimes is not able to keep up with demand, and we may have to cancel certain orders after they are accepted. We apologize for any inconvenience should this occur with your order. While we try to ensure accuracy, we reserve the right to correct any errors in pricing or descriptions, and to cancel or refuse to accept any order based on an incorrect price or description. Such corrections may be made even after an order is accepted.

Price calculations

The prices shown in your shopping basket are either the prices you entered or are the prices listed on our website for each item selected. The Total Price is calculated from the single-unit price for each item and does not reflect multiple-purchase discounts or other offers. Actual prices are recalculated when your order is passed to our central computer for processing. All prices quoted are in Canadian dollars and do not include sales taxes.

 

Sales tax

Sears charges sales tax for products ordered on this internet site based on the applicable combined federal and provincial sales tax rate of the location to which the order is being shipped. All provinces except New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland have 5% G.S.T (Goods & Services Tax) added to all orders. The following Provinces have P.S.T (Provincial Sales Tax) added to all orders. British Columbia (7% PST), Saskatchewan (5% PST), Manitoba (7% PST), Ontario (8% PST), Prince Edward Island (10% PST). New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland have 13% H.S.T (Harmonized Sales Tax) added to all orders. Quebec has 7.5% Q.S.T. (Quebec Sales Tax) added to all orders.

Payment options

Sears.ca accepts the Sears Card, American Express, VISA and MasterCard credit cards. We also accept ATM cards with a VISA or MasterCard logo. We do not accept cash, cheques or COD for online orders.

Order online

We strive to make ordering at Sears.ca as quick and easy as possible. You've browsed our merchandise selections or used Product Search to find what you are looking for. Checkout is even easier. When you've found the item you would like to purchase, click on "Add to Basket" and follow the instructions below:

1. Review order

You are now on the shopping basket page. Here, you can review the entire list of items you have placed in your basket, and view information about each item. You can make some changes to your order here, such as changing the quantity for individual items, or removing an item from your basket ( See * below for more features). If you make any changes to your order, click the "Click here to save any changes" button, to see your revised total. If you wish to continue shopping, click the "Continue Shopping" button. If you are finished selecting items click "Checkout" button and proceed with step 2

*You can also see if your item is in stock by clicking on the "Check Item Availability" button (and see step 2); and add any additional information (such as blinds widths, monogramming information, and bonus points as applicable) by clicking on the "Add Extra Item Information" button.

 

2. Sign in

You are now at the Sign In page. If you are a registered user, you are prompted to enter your "Email address" and "Password". If you are not already registered, you can do so by clicking on the "Create an Account" button. Or, should you not wish to register, click on the "Continue without sign-in" link to bypass this page. Note: Registering takes just a few minutes, but it will save you lots of time on your future visits. For instance, if you register with us, we'll save some of your contact information so that you don't have to enter it again. 3. Order summary

You are now on the Order Summary page*. Here, you can review your total order for accuracy and make any last-minute changes. This is also your last chance to cancel your order before we process the charges. You will be asked to enter your billing information. You also have the opportunity to enter a Sears Bonus Offer number; select a financing option if you use your Sears Card; add special shipping instructions, such as an apartment entry code. If you wish to ship your order as a gift, you can tell us from this page by clicking the "YES!" checkbox. Click the "Complete Order" button to complete the transaction.

*If you have opted not to register, you are brought to the Customer Information page to enter your personal information. Once you click the "Continue" button, you are prompted to select a shipping option - Free delivery to most of our 1900 Sears locations or Home delivery. Once you have selected your preferred mode of delivery, click the "Continue" button to get to the Order Summary page.

Note: We will automatically validate your address information against the Canada Post database if you use the Home Delivery option, to prevent delivery delays. If our system suspects an error, you will be prompted to correct the information

 

4. Order confirmation

You are now on the Order Confirmation page. Here, you are given a summary of your order, including your order number. You will receive 2 email confirmations from Sears.ca: Firstly, we will confirm receipt of your order within a few minutes of ordering; Secondly, we will notify you when your order is ready for pickup.

 

Catalogue orders

See something you want in our catalogue? You can order the item from your catalogue using Sears.ca. There are 3 easy ways you can do this:

1. Order electronically.

Click on the "order from a catalogue" link that appears above the navigation menu. Enter the full catalogue code; any colour, size and inseam information as necessary; select the quantity; and enter the single-unit price of the item. Repeat this step to add more items to your order form. When you are done, click the "add to shopping basket" button. Complete your transaction by following the step-by-step "Order Online" information detailed above

Today, most browsers and networks allow encrypted transmission. But you may find that your browser does not support it, or that you are behind a "firewall" that blocks the transmission of encrypted data packets. If you cannot or would rather not use our secure web server, then we'd suggest you use method 2.

2. Let our website prepare your order form, then send it to us.

Once you have added an item to your shopping basket - either through the "order from a catalogue" method or through browsing the online assortment and selecting items - you reach the "shopping basket" page. Here you can click on the "place order manually" button. Our web server will display your order on a printable order form. Simply print the order form on your printer, add your name, address, and payment method, and either fax it to us at 1-800-54-FAXIT (1-800-543-2948) or mail it to us at the address below:

3. Print a blank order form, fill it in and send it to us.

Simply print the Sears Catalogue Order Form/Work Sheet and write your order in. Fax or mail your order to us (same number and address as above.)
