Sears Canada Inc. is proud to be approved by the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Ontario as a CA Training Office. Sears Canada is committed to the profession, and will invest in and support students through their journey towards the CA designation.
Our Program
The Sears Canada CA Training program is a multi-dimensional three-year program designed to provide students with an opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in a broad range of business specialties, while developing the competencies necessary to attain the CA designation. During the program, students will develop their technical skills and knowledge while under the mentorship of an experienced Chartered Accountant.
As part of the Sears Canada program, students will be able to gain exposure and practical experience in areas of finance not traditionally offered by public accounting firms. The three year CA training program at Sears Canada will begin with a focus on developing key auditing skills and techniques, while working as part of the Internal Audit team. CA students will then have the opportunity to develop in other areas of finance such as tax, financial operations, external reporting and financial analysis and planning.
A Total Career
Upon program completion, students are encouraged to continue their career in any one of many exciting opportunities at Sears Canada. The possibilities include not only audit and finance roles, but also diverse areas such as marketing, merchandising, logistics, strategy and retail operations.
